Northwood students are sharing with The Omniscient what they are most thankful for this holiday season.
“Three things that I am thankful for are the gifts of music, diversity, and, most of all, my friends and family. I am thankful for music because it is an activity that helps me unwind and relax when I am stressed out. It also is how I want to impact the rest of the world when I get older. I am thankful for diversity because it is essential to the modern age to have diversity, whether racial, social, or any other type. To be in a diverse place like Pittsboro is amazing because it exposes you to any number of cultures and you can be comfortable in new situations. I am thankful for my friends and family because they are always there for me. I have a small group of friends that are basically part of my family and I love them the same. It’s great to have people that you can trust and be with whenever you are down.” -Freshman Elijah Roebuck
“I’m thankful for my wonderful dance group, rotisserie chicken, and Ms. Thibault!” – Sophomore Hannah Barnes
“I’ll be basic and say I’m thankful for my family and friends, especially the new ones I made this year. Another thing is my parents and my mom’s parents getting me into music.” – Freshman Eva Pardington
“I am thankful for the amazing group of friends I have made at Northwood. No matter how much we each grow and change, they always make me happy!” – Senior Grace Miller
“I’m thankful for all my wonderful friends, family, teammates and my beautiful girlfriend!” – Junior Malachi Levy
“I’m thankful for Northwood being really welcoming to me coming here. I’ve never switched schools before, and it’s been really exciting to be here and meet a bunch of really great people, and join a bunch of really fun clubs and programs!” – Junior Caroline Scholer
“I’m thankful for my friends always being there for me, my dogs for being the bestest animal ever, my family for giving me shelter, and my ancestors for passing down their fighting spirit.” – Freshman Jarrett Ryan
“I am thankful for God. I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for teachers and mentors. I am thankful for being able to get an education, which would have been totally different if my family had not moved here from Thailand. I am thankful for being able to learn every new day and I am thankful that I have amazing people around me to keep me going when I face any obstacles in life.” – Junior Ywar Soe
“I am thankful for the ample sleep I’m about to get over the break. I love sleeping. I’m also thankful for the bomb food I’m about to eat.” – Junior Kaya Hill
