“Fish Lake”
Warm sun tickling skin
Cattails blowing
In the wind
The breeze from the lake
Pushing her grey hair
She looks and sees
The miniature minnows
Swimming circles in the shallows.
Eagles creating shadows on the shore
Distant hums of fishing boats
Ripples from bubbles
Of hidden wildlife.
Poem by Elizabeth Cremeans. Graphic by Ella Sullivan.
