2021 marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of Chatham County. In celebration, Chatham County has created a year-long celebration called Chatham 250 to highlight the history and culture of Chatham.
In order to serve all ages in the county, Chatham 250 has created a youth committee. The Chatham 250 Youth Committee will be made up of approximately ten individuals from all across Chatham County.
Committee members will be responsible for planning a Chatham 250 event for Chatham youth by Chatham youth. The Chatham 250 Youth Committee is looking to have a diverse membership – by geography, school, race, ethnicity, age, gender, etc. – in order to celebrate all the talents and experiences of the young people in Chatham County.
Eligible citizens must be 15 to 22 years old and residents of Chatham County. To apply, fill out the application here.
