Every month staff of The Northwood Omniscient recommends something for students and staff. For the month of December, staff members recommended their favorite products for students in preparation for the holiday. Ms. Brinkley, advisor for The Northwood Omniscient, also recommended products for staff.

Northwood High School’s clubs have put together many fundraisers that stretch from Nov. through the month of December. It is important to give back to those in need, especially since the coronavirus pandemic has affected many in our country and local community. Consider donating or participating in one or more of these efforts to spread the joy this holiday season.
The coming of coronavirus indicated a massive uptick in the amount of free time students have each day. With options limited due to lockdown, lots of students have taken up new hobbies to pass the time. Let’s take a look at some of the pastimes that students have taken up.
In our world, businesses profit off of customers to succeed. Businesses make decisions to appeal to their audience. Because of this ideology, the phrase “customers are always right” has been used to garner what businesses believe to be trust with customers. They’ll tell you, “Hey! You’ll always be right, so come and use our services.” This makes businesses susceptible to damage. Customers are enabled to feel like they have all the power. They can start yelling at employees and go endlessly on and on about how they’ve been wronged. This turns into a demon possessing the patron’s body and going rabid.
Let’s be honest. This pandemic has been the greatest thing to happen to our society. We have the opportunity to find more ways to be extremely grateful for our miraculous life, we can see our magnificent world through more open eyes, we can learn vigorously through a new way of schooling and blah blah blah…enough with the positivity. Okay but seriously, there has been something of importance that came out of it: we aren’t having to go out and socialize. Spending days constantly on your guard with people in your little bubble can begin to wear on you. And I mean literally. People walk around dripping with the said and unsaid words of others.
