While the year 2020 was challenging for Chatham County, 2021 is set to be a year of hope, celebration and inspiration as the Chatham community celebrates its 250th birthday. As we prepare to turn the corner into the warmer months, many teens are starting to think about what has become a classic American rite of passage: getting a summer job. Summer jobs can be a great way for students to make some cash, gain experience in the workforce and learn some valuable new skills. Although the total number of 16 to 19-year-olds that work in the summer has dropped over 20 percent since 1998, many Northwood students are still taking the initiative to get hired this year.
